Bench pressing 500 pounds is simple.
Becoming financially free is simple.
Succeeding in your career is simple.
But they’re all hard.
That’s life for you.
We are faced with many challenges, uphill climbs, obstacles, you name it.
But you can beat every one of them.
If I said to you that bench pressing 500 pounds is simple, or maybe 200 or 300, like it’s no big deal, you might think I’ve gone a little goofy.
But the fact of the matter it is EXTREMELY simple.
You lie down on a bench (you can do that).
You grab hold of a bar (you can do that).
And you push that bar in an up and down motion (you can do that).
It’s only hard, but the rules are simple.
No matter what you are faced with, the answer is often very simple, but very hard.
It just takes effort.
Sometimes a lot of effort.
Consistent effort over time.
You put in the effort, you get the results.
You name virtually any situation and the rules are simple.
There are no shortcuts to real achievements, but they are all there for you. There for the taking.
Every single one of them.
If you start bench pressing consistently, maybe three times a week, with good form so you don’t get injured, you may start at only 30 pounds.
But soon, that 30 becomes 40, 40 becomes 50, 50 becomes 100, and maybe you become like Jenn Thompson, the world’s best bench presser, pound for pound.
It just takes effort.
Sometime a lot, but that’s literally the formula.
Now, that effort requires drive, determination, and never ever giving up.
And you have ALL of these things also.
There are probably some “500-pound bench presses” in your life right now.
You know what they are.
Tasks that seem unachievable. Insurmountable. So big that you may not even bother trying.
But I’m here today to tell you that you can do it.
Find that simple formula and work hard. Get better, get stronger, and see what possibilities open up for you.
You may be surprised at what you find.
Start today, grow tomorrow.
And it’s yours.
And you can make it great.
